2012 Annual Report to Members

2013 and Beyond

The economy continues to recover, and ECCU continues applying lessons learned during the Great Recession to help member ministries become financially healthier. Here are some ways we’re fueling Christ-centered ministry today and tomorrow.

Conferences. We continue engaging at ministry conferences presented by organizations like Christian Leadership Alliance (CLA), National Association of Church Business Administration (NACBA), Missio Nexus, and Worship Facilities (WfX). Our focus at these events is on providing education and networking.

Fall Resource Event Series. Many who attend the Financial Forums for Ministries return each year because they value the updates and insights from experts on topics that are relevant to ministries. ECCU will partner with CapinCrouse LLP to present this event series again in 2013.

Regional Networking/Learning Opportunities. Whether it’s monthly CMA or NACBA chapter meetings or one-time workshops, we’re proactively communicating about and promoting these events.

Webinars and Webinar Recordings. Besides offering several ECCU webinars in 2013, we’re also partnering with the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA) and CLA to co-present some of their webinars and make others available to ECCU members at reduced rates. For a list of current webinars, visit www.eccu.org/resources/webinars.

ECCU Blog. Along with regular posts related the ministry financial management, in 2013 we’ll be expanding our roster of bloggers to include people with expertise in leadership, board governance, and pastoral ministry.

Ministry Advisory Panel (MAP). This exclusive online panel is polled quarterly to track attendance and revenue trends and occasionally solicit the insights and expertise of ministry staff and leaders. This partnership allows ECCU to help ministries better understand their financial condition in the context of other ministries.

ECCU’s Website. New features and functionality are on the horizon for our website. Be on the lookout for these changes later this year.
