Banking Online to Be Quicker, Easier, More Secure

ECCU recently rolled out a powerful new online banking system for their members. The credit union is headquartered in Brea, California, but their ministry members are located across the country. The new online banking system makes it even easier for ministries to conduct their banking business from a distance.

With ECCU online banking, ministries are able to:

  • Further protect their funds. The new system offers state-of-the-art security and internal controls, enabling ministries to decide who has access and what each user’s privileges are, including viewing rights to accounts and services.

  • Get things done more easily. Starting with a highly secure log-in and easier access to financial information, this new system simplifies the online banking experience. Users are able to easily transfer funds electronically. And a built-in foreign exchange conversion calculator helps them get the right amount of funds to overseas staff and missionaries. As for when to move money, users can set up alerts to be notified via email or cell phone of time-sensitive activities—like when a check clears, if a specified account is approaching its balance threshold, or for the status of pending wires or ACH batches.

  • Work more quickly. Ministry staff can define and save custom reports and use the system’s information-reporting features to analyze cash flow, set liquidity targets, and more. They can also set up templates so frequent transactions take less time to manage. And by accessing current and past account statements online rather than waiting for them to come in the mail, their month-end reconciliation can start sooner. They can save additional time with online bill-pay or the ACH electronic payment system.
