NACHA Appoints ECCU’s Lisa Monroe to Rules Committee
BREA, California—Lisa Monroe, director of electronic payment systems for Evangelical Christian Credit Union (ECCU), has been appointed to the Product Innovation Standing Rules Group of NACHA—The Electronic Payments Association. NACHA manages the development, administration, and governance of the ACH Network, which is the backbone for the electronic movement of money and data in the United States.
Monroe has been serving Christian individuals and ministries as part of ECCU’s staff since 1998. She earned the Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) designation in 2003 and served on the NACHA Marketing Management Group from 2007-2009, chairing that group in 2008.
“I am excited to be involved with such a professional group of people who are helping bring new innovations to an already solid payment system,” Monroe said of her appointment. “I look forward to contributing in the coming year and am honored to have been selected.”
The ACH network serves as a safe, secure, and reliable network for direct consumer, business, and government payments. It annually facilitates billions of payments, such as direct deposit and direct payment. Their Rules and Operations Committee provides strategic oversight to the three Standing Rules Groups—Product Innovation, Risk and Quality, and Compliance and Operations—in the NACHA rulemaking process.
“We are delighted to have someone of Lisa’s considerable talent and skill on our team,” said Susan Rushing, ECCU vice president of banking and payment systems. “Lisa’s appointment allows ECCU to directly contribute to advancements in the ACH network and keeps ECCU at the forefront of the ever changing payments world.”
