ECCU Announces Remote Deposit Capture Service Upgrades
BREA, California—Since Evangelical Christian Credit Union (ECCU) introduced Remote Deposit Capture (RDC) technology as a way of giving ministries quicker access to their funds while saving time and money, those using it have become RDC advocates.
“When our ministry development officer heard that we were having problems with cash flow,” says Jan Pierce, head of finance at Foothill Christian Church and Schools in Glendora, California, “he suggested that we use RDC, and it has really helped us.”
Customer satisfaction is likely to increase thanks to recent upgrades to ECCU’s RDC service. Now, besides quicker access to funds and reduced risk of fraud, RDC users can expect even greater speed and accuracy.
For example, after making a deposit using RDC, a ministry can automatically receive an email confirming the transaction. This alert notifies the user that ECCU has received the deposit and provides a summary of the transaction.
Another upgrade automatically identifies duplicate checks upon scanning but before a deposit is submitted to ECCU, further ensuring accuracy of the transaction.
