Brea, CA – March 1, 2019 – ECCU announced today that Chuck Kelly has joined the credit union as Senior Vice President and Chief Technology & Operations Officer, effective February 27, 2019. Reporting to ECCU President and CEO Abel Pomar, Kelly will lead all aspects of the credit union’s enterprise technologies and strategies as well as its core banking operations, including Cash Management, Fulfillment and Support.
Kelly brings more than 25 years of experience in transforming business operations as well as leading, architecting, and developing software applications to ECCU. In his new role, he will focus on leveraging technology to increase member convenience and service quality through expanded product and support capabilities.

His expertise in utilizing technology and core banking functions to improve the member experience will play an important role in our continued growth and expansion,” Pomar said. “I look forward to working with Chuck and our Executive Team as we focus on optimizing our back office operations across the credit union, moving ECCU toward becoming a digital banking leader.”
Kelly joins ECCU from Bank of America, where he most recently served as senior vice president responsible for end-to-end business transformation and technology delivery, focused on customer interactions and back office process simplification. He previously held multiple technology leadership positions with Countrywide Home Loans as well as served in a senior technology role with Glendale Federal Bank. Kelly received a Bachelor of Science degree from DeVry University and earned an MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management.
