Evangelical Christian Credit Union (ECCU) announced today that it has named Mark H. Middlebrook as senior vice president and chief marketing officer, effective June 4, 2018. Reporting to ECCU President and CEO Abel Pomar, Middlebrook will serve on the credit union’s executive leadership team and oversee ECCU’s Marketing & Product Development, Retail and Commercial Sales, and Contact Center functions.
With an extensive background in marketing technology leadership, Middlebrook will focus on developing and executing integrated digital strategies to support ECCU’s member service, support and sales goals. As Middlebrook joins ECCU’s leadership team, the credit union has completed the development of a deep executive bench of senior talent that will drive its strategic growth and service initiatives moving forward.
“Along with his strategic and leadership skills, Mark brings a wide breadth of marketing knowledge to ECCU, with decades of integrated marketing experience in the financial services industry. With a unique understanding of the synergies between the member experience, product development, marketing and sales, he will be instrumental in taking ECCU to the next level in member service and market positioning,” Pomar said in making the announcement. “With Mark on board, we now have a seasoned and energized Executive Team in place with the experience, talent and skills to fully realize ECCU’s vision for growth and expansion.”
Middlebrook joins ECCU from City National Bank, where he held various senior-level marketing technology, client experience and eCommerce roles, most recently serving as senior vice president, head of marketing technology for the bank. He also has held marketing and technology positions with Union Bank of California and Home Savings of America during his career. In addition, he serves as an adjunct professor at California Baptist University, Jabs School of Business, in Riverside, California.
Middlebrook received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and a Masters in Business Administration, Information Technology, from the University of La Verne.
