Federal Government COVID-19 Stimulus Payments

A third round of stimulus payments are anticipated to be disbursed shortly. If your payment is being sent electronically, log into online or mobile banking to check on your payment. Or, set up alerts to be sent a notification when it’s deposited. If you are receiving your stimulus payment by check, you can deposit your check using Mobile Check Deposit.

Prior to deposit, ensure the check is endorsed by all parties whom the check is made out to. The check must also be deposited into an account with all names that match the ones on the IRS-issued paper check.

Having an appropriate amount of cash for emergencies is always wise, but the current healthcare crisis is not a financial crisis, and there is no need to rush to a branch or ATM and pull out unnecessary levels of cash. If you do need a bit of cash, remember that you can visit one of the nearly 30,000 ATMs or 5,000 shared branches where ECCU members can be serviced throughout the U.S. Be sure to call your local shared branch before visiting. Find a location here.

During this time, be vigilant to identify potential scams. Watch your email and text messages for things like unfamiliar donation sites, requests for medical supply donations or anyone impersonating a ministry, church, charity, or government agency.
